I am a born and raised Colorado girl. I grew up in Southwest Denver and have very fond memories of my childhood and neighborhood friends.
Everyone thought my sister would be in the Veterinary field as she always brought every kind of stray animal home. But, on the other hand, I wanted to be a Coroner as I was very interested in science and anatomy.
In 2001, I enrolled in the Bel-Rea vet tech program when I was hired for a kennel tech position at Lakewood Veterinary Hospital. I moved into a technician position early on while I finished school and received my State Certification in 2004. I was promoted to Lead CVT in 2006 and then joined the management team in 2010.
My husband and I met when we were 18 years old; at the time, we were just friends. After a few years, we began dating. He had two daughters, and I had one daughter at that time. Then our family grew even more when we had a daughter together in 2012. We got married in Mexico shortly after.
We love our cattle dogs (blue heelers) so much that we have three girls. Yes, I am crazy!! Ollie (our old lady 14 years), Mavis Moon (our deaf girl 1.5 years), and Jade (our mean brat 1 year).
